Due to renovation works, the museum will be closed from 14 September to 30 October 2026 inclusive.Mediterranean and Oriental antiquities, fine arts (including Artemisia Gentileschi's painting Judith and Holofernes), the Orientalist collection, the arts of Qajar Iran, the primitive arts of Oceania, the Americas, Asia and Africa, and musical instruments from around the world, are highlighted in a twofold itinerary that blends the vision of the Western explorer with indigenous contextualisations, thus offering a multiplicity of views on the world.
